The Morning Shave

FAA Approves New Design That Gives the Middle Seat More Space. – What do you think about this new design? I’m not sure the airlines would go for it since it may require additional space for a clear exit in case of emergency.

How to Spend Your JFK Layover at the TWA Hotel’s Rooftop Pool Without Booking a Room. – That’s exactly what I need after a long flight, a refreshing swim in a rooftop pool overlooking the planes landing and taking off! Talk about nirvana. Have you been to the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport yet?

A teen was gored after walking between two fighting bison at a North Dakota national park. – When are people going to learn to stay away from wild animals… especially those that are fighting? I wouldn’t get between two dogs that are growling at each other. Let alone two wild animals that are way bigger!

This Glass-bottom Pool Would Be Suspended Nearly 2,000 Feet Above a Fjord. – More pool news today. This would be terrifying and exhilarating all at once! Would you be brave enough to swim in a pool like this?

Nebraska AG Sues Hilton Over ‘Deceptive’ Resort Fees. – I love that the movement to end deceptive resort fees is gaining traction. If you want to charge resort fees, fine, just make sure that they’re disclosed in the price of the hotel room. They’re not optional, so we have to pay them. Don’t surprise us at the last minute when it comes time to pay.

  1. Maybe I’m being dense here, but I don’t understand why moving the middle seat back would be considered advantageous.

    • From what I’ve read, it seems that there would be easier sharing of the arm-rest (aisle & window would get front half, middle would get back). But it seems to me that the middle seat passenger would be more squeezed with the seats pushing against both of your shoulders.

Additionally, if you’re traveling with a significant other or your kids, it would be more uncomfortable trying to lean against each other.
