You can sleep in, do some hiking, and explore the town and still be back in time for Apres Ski with all of your buddies.

How to Raise a Kid Who Loves to Ski. – I think you have to find a good balance between taking them when they’re young enough to not have any fear, but also old enough so that they are independent and don’t need you around. I took Timothy for snowboarding lessons at Mammoth Mountain and Snow Summit Mountains two years ago when he was almost six years old. For him, it was a perfect age and he did awesome. Scarlett is more adventurous and we’re planning to take her this year when she turns four. Wish us luck!

Getting Away for a 3-day Weekend Could Make You Happier Than a Long Vacation. – I tend to disagree with these findings. It’s fun to have little getaways, but I think you really need to have a weeklong vacation that is so good that it makes you want to forget your passwords at work. To me, that’s the real sign of whether or not you’ve been able to disconnect from the office.
