The Morning Shave
Why Travel Hacking Isn’t “Stupid Credit Card Tricks” for Poor People. – I can’t believe that Ariana hasn’t heard of Dave Ramsey before. He’s the #1 dude for people who are looking to get out of debt and become financially secure. Although I don’t agree with his message, I can understand why he says it based on his audience. He wants people to pay off debt and save for the future. Many of his followers have a hard time saying no to spending and credit cards are their kryptonite. I’m a big believer that responsible credit card usage can lead to big savings, but there are some people that shouldn’t get involved.
One in Every 50 Travelers Finds the Love of Their Life While on a Flight. – I’ve made new clients on a flight, but never got a date. Most of the time, I’m happy to keep to myself and catch up on reading, watch a movie, or do some work. Have you ever met anyone on a flight?
Despite Playa del Carmen Shooting, Industry Insiders Say Tourists Need Not Worry. – Violence is horrible, but you can easily point to murders near any major city. Anna and I were just in Cancun and felt safe the entire time. This story highlights that those murdered were in a low-income section of town far away from the tourist zone. Hardly a place that any logical tourist would venture to. Stay on the beach, hang out at the resort, or take a package tour and you’ll be absolutely fine.
6 Common Credit Card Questions You Haven’t Asked. – This one is a couple years old but it is still relevant today. Most people never think about half of these questions.
Hyatt Will Pay You to Hack Their Systems. – If you are good at hacking or just think you are, Hyatt is willing to pay people who find holes in their systems. They are obviously scared after the bad press and customer fallout related to the Marriott data breach. I’m glad they are getting ahead of the issue. In today’s world, you need to be proactive and find the holes before the bad guys do.
