Second, when you fly with an ultra-low-cost carrier, understand what you’re giving up. Third, always book your flights with a credit card that offers lost/delayed baggage insurance.

Amex just won a fascinating Supreme Court case about rewards. – I like that the judges understand the value of rewards and how American Express has caused Visa, Mastercard, and Discover to up their game and offer premium credit cards to compete. Even more, I like that the judges were not willing to punish Amex for being an innovator and disrupter.

Beware: Taking photos with costumed characters in Times Square. – You’ll find these characters in Times Square, Downtown Las Vegas, and Hollywood Blvd. They dress up like popular characters and pose for photos with tourists. Their only paycheck is your tips. So, be cool. If you take a picture, give them a buck or two. But when they get aggressive, protect yourself and don’t be afraid to contact the police to report them.
