The Morning Shave
Two Newest American Express Centurion Lounges Opening Soon. – I love when new airport lounges open increasing the value of the Amex Platinum credit card.
Los Cabos Gets Serious About Crime. – This makes me so happy! Our family visits Cabo once or twice a year and we love the people, the weather, and the resorts. It’s such a shame that violence has increased so much in the past year. I’m glad that the police have taken notice and are taking steps to eradicate the crime!
Hotel fees rise to record high, again. – It is absolutely crazy that hotels are charging $2.7 billion in fees to hotel guests above the actual cost of the room! These charges have doubled since 2005 and have a profit margin of 90%. Pick your hotels wisely and consider focusing your stays with one brand. With status and loyalty, you have a better shot at getting these fees waived.
Third Night Free When You Book Two Nights With Starwood and Mastercard. – It’s a bit ironic that SPG is partnering with Mastercard on this promotion when their co-branded credit card is issued by American Express. Does this mean that they’ll be switching soon?
Inflight Internet Will Eventually Be Free for All Passengers. – I hope so. We’ve all been conditioned for constant access to the Internet, so many of us go through a bit of withdrawal when we’re in a metal tube for hours without access to Facebook, Twitter, and whatever else people use the Internet for.
