The Morning Shave

British Airways’ half off on redemptions sale. – Fantastic deal to redeem Avios for flights through London.  However, be careful of the large fuel surcharges that British Airways charges on these flights.

Flight Diverts When Passenger Names Their Wifi Network “Bomb On Board”. – Haven’t we learned that this type of “humor” isn’t funny?  Airlines and security do not take these “jokes” lightly and will punish you to the fullest extent possible.  Just don’t.

Los Cabos Tourism Board explains safety measures. – I’m glad that Cabo is taking concerns seriously.  My family, friends, and I love visiting Cabo and try to come twice a year.  As adventurous as we are, even we were a little worried about the recent increases of bad things happening – which led us to cancel a trip to Cabo in November.  We hope to return in 2018.

Southwest Takes Customer Service Seriously — Airline Innovation Report. – I love that Southwest is so proactive and recognizes that travelers are fickle.  If they have a bad experience, and it isn’t handled properly by the airline, it could be years before they win back that business.  Other airlines still haven’t grasped this concept.

The Single Best Way to Save on a Hotel Room. – This could be a good approach.  But most people aren’t willing to put in this type of effort… research prices online, call directly to the hotel, negotiate for the best non-refundable rate, and offer 20% less than what you find online.  I just use hotel points and book with confidence.  I don’t like booking non-refundable rates because life happens and I don’t want to get stuck with a room I can’t use or not be able to find a better deal later on.
