It seems Delta is on par on having monthly flash sales this year. For the month of August, Delta award tickets to Asia are for 60,000 R/T. The selected cities in Asia are Tokyo, Beijing, and Seoul. A great way to escape and experience a new culture and country.

Which card should you use to pay for your reservation?
Since these Delta Main Cabin award tickets to Asia for 65,,000 round-trip is on Delta, the American Express Delta (Gold, Platinum, or Reserve) is an obvious choice due to the great perks for cardholders:
- Priority boarding
- Free checked bag
- The ability to earn MQMs with both the Platinum and the Reserve versions
Other card options would be the Barclay Arrival or Citi Prestige due to their ability to offset a portion of the fare with points or flight credits, respectively.
Credit Card Tip: The American Express Delta Reserve is currently offering for new applicants, 10,000 MQM’s and 40,000 SkyMiles upon spending $3,000 in the first 3 months.
The Bald Thoughts
If you ever wanted to explore Asia this is great opportunity to visit Tokyo, Beijing or Seoul. Since the travel dates are in Winter, make sure you pack enough warm clothes. I visited Bejing last year in November and it was already 25F degrees when I landed (coming from someone who lives in Los Angeles, this is cold for me).
Since Delta no longer posts their award charts, and for someone who constantly monitors award flights to Asia (especially to Japan). I can say, this award sale is a good one to take advantage. Most flights round-trip in the main cabin is 70,000 miles. I’ve also seen award seats peak up to 85,000 from LAX to NRT as well.
One interesting part of this award sale is the option to book their Delta Premium select seats. Few planes will have Delta Premium seats available this year but a great opportunity if you can book a flight equipped with it. Time is limited, so jump on this Delta Flash Sale the next 24 hours to book your Winter vacation to Asia!
Have you taken advantage of a Delta Flash Sale before? Where did you go? Are you planning to buy tickets to the Caribbean during this Delta Flash Sale?
