Kimpton recently opened another property, the Taconic Hotel in Vermont.  If you’re a Kimpton Karma Inner Circle member, you get one free night and a $50 dining credit at The Copper Grouse Restaurant & Bar now through June 30, 2016.

The Kimpton Taconic Hotel

The property is now open and looks beautiful from the pictures.  It is located in Southern Vermont, about an hour from Albany, New York.  Here’s the description from the Kimpton site:

With covered bridges and white clapboard houses, Southern Vermont is the reason they invented postcards. Four-star Taconic is right in the middle of the scenic four-season fun. Think fly fishing, skiing, leaf-peeping, designer shopping and more. Dine on farm-to-fork fare at our Tavern, then take in endless mountain vistas from our grand porch. Couples, families and wedding parties: come experience classic Vermont with a highly curated, boutique twist.

How to get your free night and $50 dining credit

One of the best hotel perks available is Kimpton’s Inner Circle free night.  Whenever they open a new property, you can stay at the property one night for free AND they’ll give you $50 dining credit to eat at the on-site restaurant!  This is on top of the already awesome benefits of Wine Hour, Chef’s Taste, and $10 Raid the Mini-Bar credit.

You cannot book the free rooms online.  To book your free room, call the Kimpton the Inner Circle VIP Reservation Line at 866-424-7667.  Because of all of the other travel we have planned in the first half of the year (plus work obligations) and the distance from SoCal to Vermont, I won’t be able to take advantage of this free night, but I look forward to the others coming online soon!

Kimpton Taconic room rates

If you were to pay cash for a room at the Taconic, rates vary on the season and day of the week.  In April, I saw some rates as low as $121 a night, while Memorial Day weekend topped out at $290.  The majority of the time, the rates ranges from $139 to $249 a night.

More new hotels coming from Kimpton

Kimpton was already on a hot streak with a steady stream of new hotels, and I believe that list will only grow stronger with IHG’s wallet backing them up.  There are 7 properties that you can book ahead of their upcoming opening.  If you’d like to see all the new properties, check out the Kimpton upcoming properties list here.
